What is SOLVIX®?

SOLVIX® is a food supplement based on Bromelain (5.000 GDU/g), Boswellia serrata and Escin (from Horse-chestnut dry extract).

.

BROMELAIN (5.000 GDU/g)

is the most effective protein-digesting enzyme obtained from the stem of pineapple. A wide range of therapeutic benefits have been claimed for Bromelain; in particular Bromelain has been shown to be particularly useful for relieve local inflammatory conditions and for promote the reabsorption of edema and hematomas.

BOSWELLIA SERRATA

Is a plant widely spread in Southeast Asia, especially in India. Boswellic Acid are specific inhibitors of 5-lipoxygenase, the key enzyme for leukotriene biosynthesis (important mediators in the inflammatory process). The selective inhibition of 5-lipoxygenase makes the anti-inflammatory action of Boswellia serrata particularly useful for therapeutic purposes as it does not cause gastric damages. Scientific studies have shown that Boswellia serrata helps reduce swelling, pain and stiffness in the joints as well as improving joint mobility.

HORSE CHESTNUT

(Aesculus Hippocastanum L.): is a tree native to the Balkan Peninsula. Horse chestnut dry extract shows anti-edema, anti-inflammatory and venotonic properties. These beneficial properties are due to Escin, the most important active compound in horse chestnut extract. Escin increases venous wall tone and reduces capillaries permeability, preventing leakage of fluids into surrounding tissues, which can cause edema. Moreover, Escin counteracts the activation of Neutrophils and the associated release of pro-inflammatory compounds. Scientific evidence has shown that the anti-inflammatory and anti-edema properties of Horse chestnut extract can help relieve local soft tissue edema and inflammation.

How can measure the “power” of Bromelain

To choose a high-efficiency Bromelain supplement, you must learn to read the label.
The enzymatic power of Bromelain is expressed with the abbreviation GDU/gram.

GDU means Gelatin Digesting Unit and it is a measurement of protein digestion (in this case gelatin) by an enzyme. More specifically, it shows how much protein 1 gram of Bromelain can digest in a specific time under specific conditions.

The higher the number of GDUs, the greater the amount of protein that Bromelain can digest, and consequently the stronger its enzymatic activity.

SOLVIX® is a food supplement containing Bromelain 5,000 GDU/g, which guarantees a highly superior proteolytic activity in comparison to other similar products available on the market which contain a Bromelain at 2.000-2.500 GDU/g.
